Former Taiwan president Chen Shui-bian is arrested after hours of police investigation. Chen Shui-bian is accused of laundering millions of dollars, sending funds to Japan, the Unites States, Singapore and Switzerland. Chen lead Taiwan for eight years and is a strong advocate for Taiwan's independence from Beijing. His arrest came after eleven hours of questions. His situation has tarnished the image of an opposition party, Democratic Progressive Party who supported Chen as premiere. The DPP now goes on to face tough local elections.
